PHONE COACHING SUPPORT

Clients need to practice skills outside of their weekly sessions and Phone Coaching provides an opportunity for clients to get support when they are in Emotion Mind or when their emotions are driving their behaviors. Clients can reach out at any time during my Phone Coaching hours (9 a.m.-9 p.m.) and ask for support. Once clients develop the skill of reaching out, they realize that they don’t have to navigate those challenging moments alone and they find Mastery by learning how to pause. Phone Coaching is not a therapy session, where the client processes feelings, rather I support the client in using Distress Tolerance and Mindfulness skills to find their calm.  I teach my clients that there is no decision making while you are in Emotion Mind. We can only do effective problem solving and decison making when we are calm.
